Acadian Coast Bicycle Touring Route - The Itinerary

Cycle Canada's Acadian Coast Bicycle Touring Route

On Cycle Canada's Acadian Coast Tour the first day's ride is short so you can get used to the pace. You will travel to Caraquet for an overnight stay. Caraquet is an Acadian culture centre and we recommend you take an extra day here to visit the interesting attractions and do a little local cycling.

Leaving Caraquet it's a short day to the next day's destination is the village of Shippigan. From Shippigan, there is an optional extended loop to visit the island of Lameque, a region characterized by long stretches of sandy beaches.

From Shippigan you will follow the shores of Miramichi Bay to the town of Miramichi which is in the heart of New Brunswick's fishing region. It's a short riding day to the next overnight stay at Bouctouche and riders are encouraged to explore the Dunes, the MicMac Experience and Le Pays de la Sagouine where riders can see Antonine Maillet's imaginary world of the Acadian past

The final day of the tour will take you to Moncton where you can discover the mystery of Magnetic Hill.
