What you bring:
A bike suitable for paved roads and unpaved roads, in good working order, a flexible attitude and enthusiasm.
For camping nights, a tent, sleeping bag and sleeping mat, pillow (we have tents you can rent).
Mess kit (plate, bowl, eating utensils).
Cash for munchie stops and dinners on rest days and ferry days.
Don't forget a tool kit, just in case you have a flat or other minor mechanical problem.
A helmet, water bottles, sunscreen, insect repellent and a rain shell in case of inclement weather.
Wilderness camp clothing.
Passport (and visa for entry into US and/or Canada if required) or other accepted travel documents.
Tour Arctic Travel Arrangments. As with all of our trips please do not make flight bookings until you are confirmed on a particular trip. This especially applies to the end of Tour Arctic. We expect that many riders will stay additional time in Inuvik or travel to Tuktuyuktuk. There are fewer travel options in the area and scheduled flights from Inuvik are less frequent than in more populated areas of the country. A travel agent can be very helpful with these arrangements. And we recommend you obtain insurance for all travel, health and personal property matters.
