| The ultimate event for Randoneurs is the quadrennial Paris - Brest - Paris ride. The challenge of PBP is to complete this 1200 kilometre ride in less than 90 hours and for some in under 80 hours. The reglulations for the August 23rd brevet are those established for PBP. To qualify to participate in PBP, riders must successfully complete a Super Randonneur Series in the year of the event. The Super Randonneur Series includes a 200 km, (13.5 hours), 300 km (20 hours), 400 km (27 hours) and 600 km (40 hours) The next PBP is in 1999. |
