Cycle Canada's Icefield Parkway Bicycle Touring Route - Self-Guided
Cycle Canada's Icefields Parkway touring route is a one-week ride from Jasper to Calgary via the world reknowned Icefields Parkway.
The terrain on this trip is very challenging. Challenging terrain translates into spectacular mountain vistas.
Cyclists travel through regions where flora and fauna are protected. You will be travelling through two of Canada's National Parks. Services in sensitive areas can be minimal and riders need to carry sufficient supplies for the day's ride plus clothing suitable for a wide range of weather.
Riders will have opportunities to see a variety of wildlife. Most common are mountain goats, sheep, elk and black bear. Rarer sightings include moose, grizzlies, wolves and cougars. Riders need to proceed with caution around all wildlife.
